Accredited Professional
The LEED AP is a credentialed professional who has demonstrated knowledge of green building through testing administered through the GBCI. If earned before 2009, this credential does not require credential maintenance and does not expire.
Forest Stewardship Council
The FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forests.
Green Business Bureau
The GBB is a not for profit organization that provides National third-party green business certification and tools that show customers their green status.
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
The HVAC is the piece of equipment that provides conditioned air into the building.
Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value
The MERV designation is given to HVAC filters. The higher the number, the more efficient the filter is at removing air borne particles, but provides more air flow resistance.
U.S.Green Building Council
The USGBC is a non-governmental organization comprised of community leaders making green living spaces available to everyone.
